  1. Does anyone know what happened to Art Dineen? He was a talk radio host (WXYT 1270) back in the 70’s. Thanks to whoever can answer this.

    1. I have also been looking for the location of Art Dineen…Last I knew of Art he was working at a station in Bedford, MA and living aboard an old motor yacht he had tied -up at a dock near the station down on Bedford’s waterfront. He was a talented guy and fun to work with. He had a buddy named Tom…I forgot his last name…he worked at WFTN the same time Art did and the two collaborated on some of the wackiest stuff ever broadcasted over radio. He did a tongue in cheek program one weekend back in about 1968.. something called “The Franklin Memorial Dump”…Well, the early versions of the P.C. crowd objected strenuously to the use of the word “Memorial” when followed by the word “Dump” …and all hell broke loose. Her was a cackle ! At the time, on WBZ Night time radio, there was a fellow named Dick Summers who wrote poetry and prose and read it to music…Art did the same stuff and had one particular piece he called “Lady Ice”… Very clever guy. If you hear where he is tell him “Chuck lack was asking for him…I’m in N.C. now…

    1. I was there with some of my pals from Guayama. I remember the show was called “The Battle of the Groups” and José Miguel Agrelot was one of the MC’s. Does anybody still have at least photos of that day??? At that time,we only got The Young Rascals,The Byrds,The Animals, The Grassroots,Vanilla Fudge,Sly and The Family Stone,Booker T and Priscilla,Tom Jones (most of the shows were at The Hiram Birthorn Stadium. And all of them were before the Mar y Sol festival.
