This was our favorite dance show back in the 60’s. It has been impossible to find people who remember how to dance “The Swing” or the 1270! Any one out there remember besides me? Thanks!
I was on the show when I was 15 picked at the walled lk casino danced with a guy named rich every week tried to get copies they said they were ruined not stored properly always wanted to see them. Show my kids and grandkids
I would drive my cousin Pam and myself to dance on the show every Saturday. We took a “be Seeing You” cake for Joel Sebastion on his las day at the show. I have a pic of that memory! 1964 was an especially fabulous time for Pam Shoun and Cathy Lordy ! And we are still alive to share 1-08-21!
Met my wife on the 1270 studio dance floor in 1964…married her in 1967. Am still married to her today! Was on 1270 for 1 year. The greatest teen year of my life!
Myself and Patty Quatro (Suzi Quatro sister) we’re dancers on Club 1270. We taped the show early in the AM, all came back had lunch, then went home to watch ourselves on TV. One day Patty and I were in a Dance contest, that we won. When Lee Allen awarded us two LP, I grabbed the one LP by “Them” (Van Morrison, with Gloria, Here Comes the Night and Mystic Eyes) the first LO in Detroit, and Patty took the Supremes. Some of the members who logged in I remember, we should all do a reunion with Channel 7, that would be a fun hour event! Someone bring it up to the right people, will you, or WXYZ exc.

My Mom was on the show when she was a teenager! She taught me all the dances. She still talks about the show to this day!
I used to dance on that show with the red checkered tablecloths and great headliners

We need some of that great old Detroit dancing to comeback! That was the best dance show, ever. Lee Alan and Joel Sebastian were our heroes!!!!
Yes they were I became good friends with Joel Sebastian I was on club 1270 twice had a lot of fun.
Oooooo the memories, I was a regular on the show from 63 to 65, soo much fun, met so many guest stars, yes that time was truly fantastic
